What's in my bag?!

Hello Readers!

Before I start this blog post, I wanted to give you all a heads up. 1/3 of my day, everyday, consists of me watching Youtube videos, so if my blog ideas sound a lot like trends from Youtube, that's because they are. For example, todays post is going to be me telling you what is in my bag.

This Idea intrigued me, because every girl knows that their purse is about 50 pounds and what is in that 50 pound bag you may ask? Well it is different for each individual, so today I will let you all take a look in mine!

I am not really a purse kinda of girl. I mean I wear them if I am dressed up going somewhere a little more formal, but on an average day I refuse to carry one around. I love backpacks though! I find them much more comfortable and efficient! They carry a lot more than a purse and you can just carry it on your back instead of having it in your hand or having it slide off of your shoulder every couple minutes!

Now enough of me rambling about backpacks, let's get to the stuff you guys came to read about!

THE ESSENTIALS!

My backpack has been everywhere! From school to festivals to amusement parks, it has seen it all! Since my bag goes everywhere with me, it carries a variety of different things. In this section of the post, I will be highlighting all the essentials I carry with me everywhere, no matter where I go!

PHONE

I bring my phone with me EVERYWHERE I go. I literally cannot leave the house without it! I know I sound like a teenager that is glued to their phone 24/7, but I swear I'm not! My phone is so useful! When I am driving, I need it for the GPS. When I am working or at school, sometimes I need to research things and can't get to a desktop quick enough. When I am walking, use it to listen to music so I don't look like a loner. Moral of the story, My phone is the most important thing I need to have with my in my bag!

Charger & Earbuds

Since we are on the topic of phones, I had to quickly mention my two must haves! Like my phone, I always have to have these with me! I am constantly listening to music, so my earbuds are essential.

My charger is very important since I like to have one with my at all times, but recently I haven't been using it so much. I used to have an iPhone 6s Plus, so the battery used to drain fast. I would bring my portable charger and wire in my bag everywhere I went. Now, I have purchased the iPhone 11 and the battery life is so much better! I now sometimes bring my charger incase, but soon it may not be on my essentials list anymore...

Chapstick

Chapstick is so addictive!!! In my bag, it is ALWAYS in there! I love chapstick so much that sometimes if I leave without chapstick with me, I go and buy a new one. Just the other day my dad asked me why I had seven of the same chapsticks in my room...LOL!

I used to love Carmax chapstick, but someone told me that the brand uses really bad ingredients that dry out your lips more! So I now use Burt's Bees or just plain old Vaseline. The travel Vaseline's are just so cute and perfect for throwing in your purse!

Perfume/ Body spray

This may or may not be TMI, but I sweat. A lot. Since I sweat a lot I need to make sure I am always smelling good! I always have a travel sized perfume or body spray in my bag. Usually it is one of those small Bath & Body Works body spray. I love them because they are not too small but still doesn't take up so much space AND they smell amazing! It is for sure a must have in my bag!

Hair-ties

If you ask anyone who knows me they will always tell you that I always have my hair up. In a bun or a ponytail or a braid, I just love having my hair away from my face. A bun is usually my go-to, since it is quick, easy, comfortable, and I don't have to fix it every so often. Well, since I love my hair up so much, I always need a couple of hair-ties on hand. I always keep one on my wrist and one in my bag at all times. You never know when you might need a spare!

Water bottle

I have to take my reusable Starbucks water bottle with me everywhere I go! I drink tons of water and bringing or buying a plastic water bottle just makes no sense to me. I always bring it in my bag with me and it fits very nicely. I love to fill up other drinks in there too, such as actual Starbucks refreshers, ice tea or coffee, sodas and even smoothies. Basically anything liquid and cold goes in that cup.

THE OCCASIONALLY ESSENTIALS!

So depending where I go, I have to bring some additional stuff in my back pack with me. I don't bring these things with me everywhere, but they are still important!

Sunscreen

If I am going to an amusement park or a picnic or the pool/beach I always have sunscreen! I used to never wear sunscreen since I hated how in felt on my skin and I thought I was totally safe without it. Well, a few summers back I was in San Diego and boy did I get proved wrong! I was so sunburnt that my whole body was extremely swollen for days! It was my first time actually getting sunburnt and it hurt everywhere no matter what I was doing. If I sat, it hurt. If I was sleeping, it hurt. In the shower, it was burning!

Since then, I learned my lesson. During the summer months, I now bring 100 SPF in my bag every time I know I will be out in the sun.

Makeup/ Makeup remover

No, I do not bring my makeup bag everywhere I go! I bring maybe a lipstick and some makeup removing wipes with me on a night out though. When I go out to a wedding, party, or even if I'm going out in the city, I put a little makeup on. Usually going out means there will be some eating involved. Knowing me, I love a red or dark nude pink lipstick when wearing makeup, so I need to bring the lipstick with me in case it starts to fade.

I also sometimes bring makeup remover wipes with me. When its 2am, I have a hour drive and I know 100% that i'm going to KO when I get home, I make use of my time and remove all of my makeup. That way I can go straight to bed and not have to worry about that red lipstick all over my pillow case.

Hoodie

Ash isn't Ash without a hoodie!!!

Everyone knows that. I love hoodies! They're are so comfortable, warm, and hide all of ones' insecurities...(I'm fine).

If I am not wearing one, there is one in my bag. If I'm going to a restaurant, or going somewhere outdoor during the evenings, or anywhere actually, there will be one in my back pack. In the summer it might not be in there as often, but hey, with me you never know!

ASH AREN'T YOU FORGETTING SOMETHING?!

I know, I know. everyone has one in their bag and I didn't even mention it in mine! Don't worry, I can explain! Have you figured out what it is? No? Its a wallet!

I usually don't carry a wallet with me. This is mostly because I hate carrying cash with me! I just hate it! I find it so much easier to just swipe my card and continue about my day. You may ask; Ash, if you don't carry a wallet, where do you put your cards? Do you just throw it your bag?!

No! I have a (not-so-secret) secret wallet in my phone case! It holds up to about 3 cards so Its perfect to keep my drivers license and credit card in! I got it on Amazon for about $10 and its awesome!
